Jonathan 'Djed' Edwards​

​Djed's varied background includes immersion in spiritual traditions, healing arts, and literature. He holds a Masters in East Asian Medicine from NUNM and a writing MFA from Warren Wilson College, along with a BA in Religious Studies from Swarthmore College. He has been a Fulbright Fellow in Nepal and co-founded Heartward Sanctuary in the North Carolina piedmont, where he lives with his eclectic family. 

 

A licensed acupuncturist, he has practiced East Asian Medicine since 2014 alongside advising based on the I Ching (Yi Jing) and other forms of divination. However, since crossing paths with his Jyotish teachers and recognizing the power of this living tradition, he has put Vedic astrology at the very heart of his studies and, more recently, his work.

Outside his astrology and Wayfinding work, he writes at Seeds for the World Tree on Substack and serves as a jyotish TA at The Cosmic Kaleidoscope.
